Slipstream listens to Forza Horizon 6's official telemetry broadcast. You flip one switch in the game's own settings — that's the whole install story.
1 · Turn on Data Out in Forza
Data Out ON
Data Out IP 127.0.0.1
Data Out Port 5300
This is Forza's own, officially supported telemetry feed — the same one race dashboards and motion rigs use. Works on both the Microsoft Store and Steam versions.
Playing on Xbox console? Slipstream shows the exact Data Out IP to enter right in its window — just type in what it tells you. The console and PC need to be on the same network.
2 · Open Slipstream
Open Slipstream.exe — no install, nothing to configure. Leave it running while you play.
3 · Drive
That's it. Slipstream connects the moment the first packet arrives — usually the moment your wheels turn. The status dot goes green and the live read begins.
Live on your phone
Want a buttery-smooth read? Pull the live display up on your phone too. The in-game overlay can stutter a touch — the game always gets first priority — so for the fastest, most responsive telemetry, glance at your phone instead. Same Wi-Fi as your PC, and it makes a great second-screen pit board right next to your wheel.
Not connecting?
- Data Out actually ON? The setting only takes effect once you're back in the world driving — restart the event if you changed it mid-session.
- Port matches? The game and Slipstream must agree on
5300. - Firewall prompt missed? If you clicked it away, add Slipstream by hand: Windows Security → Firewall & network protection → Allow an app through firewall → tick Slipstream on Private. (It only listens for local UDP — nothing leaves your machine.)
- Something else on the port? Only one app can listen per port — close other telemetry tools, or change the port in both places.
- On console? The Data Out IP you entered in Forza must match the address Slipstream shows on your PC, with both on the same network.
